Seasonal Sleeping Bags
First of all consider when you plan to use the bag and where. For a summer festival trip or when you’re staying indoors, a 1-season bag will be perfect as there is little need for insulation. Our 2-season bags will work effectively on a camping trip in Spring and Summer when the temperature fluctuates. When the temperature drops you should look for a bag which will trap warm air whilst remaining breathable. If you are planning a trip in Autumn or Winter then a 3/4-season bag will offer all the insulation you need to keep your body temperature constant.
There are two different types of filling for sleeping bags. Synthetic fibres are easy to clean, quick to dry and more expensive options will pack smaller. A down filing is capable of tackling wider ranges of temperature with ease, and with its better quality has an increased life.
