The Hyperion 2 person tent has a hydrostatic head of 2000mm and with fully taped seams. The Hyperion 2 tent sleeps 2 people and is fire retardant. The Hyperion tent has a flysheet pitching first and also has a sewn in groundsheet to the inner tent. There is also an additional detachable living area groundsheet. The tent is a compact tunnel tent with a spacious bedroom area and a large front porch/living area. The Hyperion 2 person tent is quick and easy to pitch and is great value for camping festivals and weekends away. The tent is relatively lightweight at a weight of 3.61kg.
Hydrostatic head
A hydrostatic head measures how waterproof the fabric or material of a tent or garment is. In the case of the Hyperion 2 person tent; the hydrostatic head is 2000mm. The fabric used to make the tent has a waterproof membrane or coating that prevents water droplets from penetrating through the fabric, therefore it protects you from the elements and of water in particularly. If the fabric is waterproof and has taped seams then it is also windproof due to the embedded membrane.
Sewn in groundsheet
A sewn in groundsheet will provide added strength and durability to the base of the Hyperion 4 person tent. The advantage of having a sewn in groundsheet will protect you from the dampness of the grass as well as withstanding general everyday wear and tear.
