The Monodome tent is lightweight and compact. It is a waterproof tent with a hydrostatic head of 2000mm complete with fully taped seams. The Monodome tent is fire retardant and has fibreglass poles. The Monodome tent sleeps 2 people and weighs just 1.72kg. It is easy to pitch and has roof ventilation. It is ideal for weekends away, festivals and summer fun.
A hydrostatic head measurement refers to the waterproof rating of the fabric, water is pushed through a cyllinder and the level at which it begins to penetrate the the fabric determines the meaurement given. The monodome 2 person tent has a hydrostatic head measurement of 2000mm. The lowest level a tent will be considered waterproof is 1500mm.
The tent has been made form waterproof fabric with a membrane that prevents water seepng in. The monodome tent also has fully taped seams which prevents water from seeping in through the stitched areas.Waterproof fabric is also windproof to ensure you are fully protected from the elements.
Fibreglass poles are lightweight and extremely durable which makes them the perfect choice for tents.
