£1million Elise for Life Kilimanjaro Trek
200 Elise for Life Kilimanjaro Trekkers!
I will be taking on the world's tallest free-standing mountain, Kilimanjaro along side my brother and 200 others who are taking on the challenge for the Elise for Life appeal for The Christie.
The Elise for Life appeal was set up by our cousin, Elise who sadly passed away from malignant melanoma in 2010. Before Elise passed away she pledged to raise £1million for The Christie. The Kili trip will hopefully meet Elise's £1million target! I'm applying on behalf of all who have supported the appeal and all 200 Christie Kilimanjaro trekkers.
Half marathons, early gym sessions, hill walking & physio sessions to sort my dodgy knee out!
All monies will go towards melanoma research and clinical trials at The Christie to help people in a similar situation to Elise. The £1million target has been raised over the past 3 years where fundraisers have been taking on challenges from the Great Wall of China to Icelandic Lava Treks to raise vital funds for Elise's legacy. Elise tackled Kilimanjaro and we are looking forward to doing the same!
