Daz's Ultra Trail South West 100 mile Ultra Marathon
Raising money for: Parkinsons Uk
The Ultra Trail South West 100 is a 100 mile single stage endurance race and is considered amongst the most challenging, nonstop, point to point trail running races in the world.
Last year I discovered a very close relative has been diagnosed with Parkinsons disease. Parkinson’s UK is the nation’s support and research charity leading the work to find a cure, bringing people with Parkinson's, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, their website and confidential helpline.
The UTSW is intentionally designed to be an exceptionally difficult and can only be achieved with committed preparation and extraordinary determination.Running 100 miles across coastal paths, open moorland, inland trails requires many months of training and single mindedness, this I achieved by finishing the 100 mile race in 26 hrs, 12 mins. 60 started, 34 finished, I came 7th. Parkinson's UK deserve this determination and money, there is no cure for this disease, this money will help research.
