Sam's summit for Malawi
I am climbing Mont Blanc at 4810, spending 4 nights in high altitude huts. I have done long cycle rides and some sports climbing over the years but this will be my first mountain climb!
My mum started this charity 8 years ago and I have been heavily involved throughout that time. The projects and work is very close to my heart, and I want to help as best as I can as the charity is still small and struggling to find funding. The money raised will help those with disability in Malawi; help that they desperately need.
I have been doing some small hill climbs with a heavy rucksack and other stamina training. I would like people to be aware that there are small charities out there who do fantastic work, and really need financial support to continue. The people who African Vision support live in rural villages in Malawi and have hardly any support from the government or larger charities and seem to have fallen off the radar. African vision's aim is to make these communities self sufficient.
