Snowdonia Charity Challenge
Our challenge involved cycling 40 miles, climbing Mount Snowdon and canoeing on Lake Gywnant, all in one day! None of us have ever taken on a challenge of this scale before.
Regain was chosen as it's a relatively unknown UK charity but the work it does changes people's lives as it helps paraplegics regain their independence. A £5000 donation would buy a specially modified electric wheelchair, or 3 sets of computers and voice-recognition software to help people communicate.
All of the team members have been taking on training by going to the gym at least 3 times a week and going on cycling rides of 20+ miles at least once a week.
This had been a hard challenge for us as a company, we've had to drop a team as several of our team mates had to drop out for various unavoidable reasons. This has badly affected our fundraising total but we're still confident we can hit our £4000 target.
