The RWB Challenge 2013
Raising money for:
The Army Benevolent Fund
RWB Challenge Team
- Running 2 Ultra Marathons
- Canoe/Kayaking the Thames (144 miles)
- Cycle over 400 miles
This makes up a 9 day endurance event, to be completed by both serving and ex serving soldiers.
ABF is naturally a charity close to this team's hearts. They offer lifetime support to serving and retired soldiers, as well as their families. A lot of their financial support is given direct to individuals to help in areas such as debt relief, mobility assistance, education bursaries, carehome fees and respite breaks.
We are starting and finishing our challenge in Royal Wootton Bassett, where many informal tributes have been paid over the years during military repatriation funeral processions that passed through the town. We saw this an honourable and fitting location to start such an immense and challenging event.
