The British Summer has been spectacularly disappointing this year. After a week of beautiful sunshine, warm evenings and enjoyable heat, everyone now has to pull out their layers and waterproofs which were so eagerly packed away.
If you fancy enjoying live music, and the atmosphere of a festival without the fuss, Guilfest is right up your street. Guilfest is an independent music and arts festival held this weekend of the 13th, 14th and 15th July, which gives you the option of camping for the whole weekend or to come by for the day.
This flexibility was just one of the reasons Guilfest was voted the Best Family Festival by the UK Festival Awards, along with the fun and friendly atmosphere! Guilfest also has an extensive child friendly activity area, the KidZone which this year sees guest appearances from Postman Pat and The ZingZillas as well as a huge variety of activities and shows for the little ones to get involved in. With five stages, and three tents of music, comedy and arts; Guilfest definitely has something for everyone. Headlining this year is Jools Holland, Olly Murs, Tulisa, Bryan Ferry with special guest Johnny Marr, and many more.
Guilfest has let all their attendees know that the adverse weather of the past week hasn’t affected the plans to go ahead. Day tickets are still available to buy online or on the phone. Even though the weather has been looking up, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. The best part is, if you’re already camping at Guilfest or heading over for the day, Mountain Warehouse will be hosting our own stall at Guilfest this year. If you’re camping and forgot to pack your pegs, or if the weather is taking a turn, pop over to the Mountain Warehouse stall, situated in front of Stage 2 and will be open on Friday and Saturday from 12pm – 9pm and Sunday from 12pm – 7pm.
Mountain Warehouse at Guilfest 2012 accepts Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo as well as cash payments.
