Festival season is well and truly underway. Last weekend saw thousands head to the banks of Loch Ness for a very sunny Rockness. While this weekend festival goers will be donning their wellies for the Isle of Wight Festival.
In fact, wellies and waterproofs will be the order of the day at the massive music event as the Met Office expects severe winds and stormy downpours to hit the south coast just in time for the weekend.
If you’re travelling down for the festival this weekend, don’t let the Great British weather rain on your parade…just make sure you are prepared for it! If you’re in need of last minute weatherproofing we have a store on the island in Newport, find details here.
Here’s some festival essentials that will help keep the rain out…
Waterproof jackets and trousers are ideal for the changeable weather as they pack easily away into the smallest of bags if the sun comes out.
Every festival goer should take a pair; even if it looks dry when you leave…mud is inevitable!
The perfect festival buddy. Easy to assemble, keeps you dry at night and lightweight for carrying from the campsite. If you struggle with taking yours down, watch our video for a tutorial here.
A cosy sleeping bag is a must for festival camping, as temperatures drop throughout the night. During summer a 1-2 season bag should keep you comfy, but check temperatures before you go and plan accordingly.
