We have become aware the above Travel Essentials branded Travel Adaptor sold in
Mountain Warehouse stores between 1st October 2010 and 6th January 2012 may have
a manufacturing defect.
The Adaptor does not comply with British Safety Standards due to a manufacturing
error - it appears that there are concerns with respect to the safety of this device
when plugged into wall sockets, (i.e. the pins can be touched on the adaptor and
could be live) and a euro two pin plug if just plugged into one socket can have
another pin outside of the adaptor, which could be live.
As a result of this and as a precautionary measure, Mountain Warehouse has decided
to withdraw the Adaptors from sale. Owners of these Adaptors are asked to stop using
them immediately and return to any Mountain Warehouse store for a full refund.
