A. As long grass is likely to be higher than the average puddle water is able to wet out the top of your footwear. The lining of your boot is designed to draw away the moisture from your feet but when the top of your boots get wet the lining can draw this moisture into the boot. If the footwear features mesh uppers they are more likely to wet out more quickly. It is recommended to use the shoe and boot proofer regularly to improve the water repellence of the mesh. If you are likely to be walking through wet grass we also recommended waterproof walking gaiters. These fit over the top of your boots or shoes and are designed to keep your footwear and trousers dry.
Q. Can I walk in wet grass in my walking boots or shoes?
