Universal Footwear Proofer

I've only just applied this to my boots, so I cannot say how effective its proofing will be. However, I was stuck by how thin the solution is. I'm used to silicone-based spays that stay where they land, whereas this is very runny. Hence much of the solution ran straight off the boot and onto the floor. The bottle claims that this is environmentally friendly so - assuming it proves effective as a proofing agent - then I'm happy to get used to a different method of application.

I have used this product before and found it does exactly what it says on the tin and it is cheaper than the so called "Branded" similar products. On the down side the liquid comes out at a rate of knots, the nozzle could do with refining

Needed this to protect the excellent trainers I bought a few weeks before - completely forgot to get it at the time. Again the spray protected the trainers when I was out in the woods/mud - they survived and so did I!!!

I use a lot of this for my shoes and for the children as I let my children jump in puddles. If they can't do it when they are small, when can they do it? This product helps to minimise wet feet.

Using this product on the soft type of boots keeps them waterproof for quite a while - they do need to be soaked in it a couple of times and given plenty of drying time in between.

This product itself is quite good, really good considering it's price. The only downside is the pump which is leaking and giving too wide splash. Time to think about improvement.

I bought this prouct to keep my Inca walking boots, (new purchase with you), in good condition. I have used it as per instructions and find it excellent.

I have used this proofer on my golf shoes which did get my feet wet. after one good spray my shoes are still keeping my feet dry after six rounds of golf.

this waterbased version was exactly what i was looking for as it is recommended by all good outdoor footwear manufacturers , and enviromentaly friendly.

I was extremely pleased to be advised to try this on my walking boots previously bought from Mountain Warehouse before buying a new pair

Not really had chance to test this properly yet, as only just bought and applied it . It was easy to use, and dried quickly.

First time used but it seems very good for all types of boot. Saves having a different product for each type of boot uppers

Although the product says to spray once, I did it twice just to make sure. Very competitively priced and easy to use.

The trigger spray is a lot better than the aresol. You get more on the shoes and less on the surrounding area.

and not sure if had put enough on right boot as it still felt like it was letting in water again today

As I had bought some shoes to go walking in it made sense to protect them by purchasing the proofer

great stuff. means i can give boots a good clean and once treated, they will be as good as new.

dont like the way it comes out white and does stain the soles etc if you dont wipe it off

easy to use and quick drying , no change of colour or feel to the texture of the product.

Easy to use proofer and most effective (in the wet weather we've all been experiencing)
