Ski Gloves & Mittens

Ski Gloves & Mittens

Ski gloves and mittens are essential for everyday use when on the ski slopes; there is absolutely no way that bare hands will function well in the icy chills in the mountains. As you will be either skiing or snowboarding you will want the gloves to be hard wearing and functional as well as keeping you warm and dry. Many of our Mountainlife and Parallel gloves are available in a number of colours as well as having functions to suit all levels of ability. Our Mountainlife and Parallel ski gloves and mittens are designed to keep your hands warm, dry and comfortable; whilst aiming to protect your hands from the harshest of elements.

Functional ski gloves and mittens

Many of our gloves offer thermal properties and a level of waterproofness so you can be sure to have warm and dry hands on the slopes this winter. When purchasing your gloves; many are snow proof, waterproof, some are even made with Gore-tex; whereas others are ideal for use as a fitted glove. It pays to have a pair of breathable gloves; this ensures that your palms will not become sweaty during active and swift skiing and snowboarding. Many of our Mountainlife gloves have powder cuffs or Velcro straps which cover your wrists; these help prevent snow getting inside your gloves. A non slip palm helps improve the overall grip of the glove as well as improve the grip of your ski poles.

Mittens

Ideally snowboarders would choose to opt for a glove with more grip than a ski glove; these gloves often have extra padding and tougher materials as they are more frequently in contact with the snow on the ground. Mittens are always a popular choice and they can often be warmer as your fingers remain grouped together which retains the warmth for longer; they can allow trapped air to circulate, however; it can often be hard to grip a pole firmly with these. Kids will frequently prefer mittens when skiing however; do bear this in mind when selecting mittens for the family.
