Sizing for Hiking Boots
When you are choosing your hiking boots we advise that you pick around ½ a size larger than your normal shoe to make room for some hiking socks which will be thicker than your everyday socks. This will also allow for your feet swelling which occurs because of the extra work they are doing and being at altitude can cause the body to swell up a bit. Don’t ruin your hiking fun by having boots that are too small and hurting your feet! A top tip for checking that you have the right size is to take your index finger and place this behind your heal. If you can fit your index snugly being you heal, you have a great fitting pair of boots.
