I ultimately exchanged the flask I bought because it failed to keep water hot for more than a short time. The Mountain Warehouse employee to whom I returned it was extremely polite and helpful. He explained that the flask is not a thermos and, therefore, can only maintain water temperature for a limited amount of time. I think that this should be indicated more clearly on the flask, so that customers are not disappointed as I was.

Consider getting the larger one as this doesn't hold many cups of tea!
