The two sales staff were extremely friendly and helpful, however both admitted they had no idea how to demonstrate proper useage of the walking poles. In the end the manageress turned up who had been trained and was just as helpful. I do feel though that all sales staff should be knowledgeable and properly informed about your products.
Had this or similar pole from mountain warehouse before, and it performed well. Only replace the original as I lost it, I also lost the replacement after a couple of years and so returned to mountain warehouse for a third walking pole. Must try not to lose this one.
Easy to extend and reduce back, fit into my medium-size suitcase for flight, good grip, only problem was the rubber end came off in the mud and this was not noticed until later. Also, it wasn't clear how the mud guard should be fitted.

First try with walking poles so nothing to campare. Find that the locking mechanism is a tad difficult to use and therefore difficult to extend and close pole. Rather easy to pull too far out past the 'STOP' marker.
Not used walking poles before so giving them a try. Have found that these are a little difficult to unlock/extend and unlock close. Very easy to pull beyond the 'stop' mark.
As i am allways leaving my walking poles behind when on walks i spotted this pole in the shop in Tenby and as they were sold as two for £16-00 couldnt resist a bargain.
Suggest purchase replacement rubber end caps when buying pole. Managed to wear cap out after 1 outing ! (but I was supporting a sprained ankle for most of it)
To find a pole incorporating anti-shock spring at this price is good. Quality of the pole is excellent and feels much more solid than I thought it would be.
Have only used the poles once since I got them but it has only been a week.
The grip on the handle is excellent, I much prefer it to the wooden handle.
It seems fine, but I haven't had a chance to try it out on a walk yet. The test will be to see how long the screw-up length adjusting mechanism lasts.
Good range of poles but chose the medium priced one, as I haven't used a pole before. Advised two poles recommended, and it was buy one get one free.
Good sturdy poles - seemed to have to screw the opposite way to the arrows on the poles to lock them, Once found that out - worked fine.
A sturdy stick with a spring in its step. Really comfortable to use and easily shortened for transportation and storage. Excellent value.
Have been toying with the idea of getting this, as last time I went hiking up a mountain, I had to hunt to find a strong enough stick.
The hiking poles haven't been used yet, so unable to comment on quality and durability, but they do look fine on first appearances.
Not used poles before but they really do seem to help with hill walking. Nice and light, good adjustment, comfy hand grips.
just what I need from a walking pole not to heavy folds away when not in use so I can put it in my backpack until needed
First time walking with poles, kinder on the knees, Only one thing didn't like the smell made my gloves smell of rubber.
Very useful as reduces well to fit in wheelchair bag and can easily extend when needing to transfer out of wheelchair
