Women’s Ski Jackets
When heading out on a skiing holiday ensuring you are dry, warm and comfortable at all times is very important. Ensuring you choose the best jacket for your needs will greatly enhance the enjoyment of your holiday.
Breathable and Snowproof
For your comfort your women’s ski jacket needs to be snowproof and breathable. Good ventilation means that you will remain warm and comfortable without overheating and getting sweaty. Our technical fabric allows airflow, the heat is trapped inside while moisture evaporates through to the outer layers of the jacket and back out into the air. This means that you are kept dry and comfortable and will work together with your base layer and fleece for superior warmth, team them with a pqir of women's ski pants and you will be fullprepared.
A snowproof jacket is different to a waterproof jacket as snow does not penetrate fabric as it hits, it will only seep into the material if it is allowed to melt in. Ski clothing will range from water-resistant to fully water proof. For first time skiers or for shorter ski trips snow proof water-resistant fabric is ideal and will prevent snow penetrating the fabric. For more frequent skiers it is advisable to look for a fully waterproof ski jacket with taped seams.Integral to staying dry is ensuring that snow cannot get inside the jacket should you fall. A snowskirt adds an extra seal between you and the outer of your jacket and acts as and internal gaiter. Most ski jackets will also have snow cuffs inside the arms and will provide extra warmth and protection to the wrist and arms. Some of the higher spec ski jackets will have taped seams. Taping a seam basically means the stitched area of the jacket has been sealed to make it fully waterproof.
Added Features
When you are out on the slopes having pockets is incredibly important, carrying a rucksack can be too much particularly if you are a beginner. You need somewhere to keep your lift pass, wallet, mobile and some form of sugar boost. Our ski jackets come with internal and external pockets so that you can keep your valuables that don’t need immediate access on the inside and your sweets and lift pass in the external pockets. With the right ski jacket you can really enjoy your winter sports experience.
