The women's Sphere waterproof jacket is fully waterproof constructed from Isodry fabric and finished with taped seams. The women’s waterproof jacket features a storm flap that protects the zip from allowing water in. The fabric of the jacket is breathable which helps to keep you dry on the inside if you begin to perspire. The Sphere jacket has multiple pockets including two zipped front pockets and an internal Mp3 pocket. 

Waterproof fabric & taped seams

Isodry fabric has a waterproof membrane embedded into it that prevents water seeping into the fabric. The seams of the jacket have been taped which prevent water leaking through the stitched areas. The women’s waterproof jacket has been given a hydrostatic head rating of 8000mm. The hydrostatic head refers to the method used to test how waterproof the fabric is; this is done by water being pushed through a measured cylinder, the level at which the water begins to penetrate the fabric dictates the hydrostatic head rating the garment is given. 

Breathable

A breathable garment helps to keep you dry on the inside. The fabric allows moisture and perspiration to be drawn out, without letting rain in. 

Single Storm Flap

The women’s jacket includes a storm flap to prevent water getting in through the zip. The storm flap is a strip of waterproof fabric that covers the zip.

Multiple pockets

The Sphere jacket includes two zipped pockets at the front and an internal MP3 pocket.

Lightweight, with packable hood and zips, under the sleeves for more breathability. All zips are uncovered but are 'taped' and look hermetic. I made up my mind for this model after checking quite a few different shops for a rainproof jacket. This rainproof jacket was very good value and seems quite comparable in quality to the more expensive brands. It is a nice fit too. Happy with the purchase. Happy with the blue colour too, as I am tired to see mostly black rainproof jackets everywhere.

Good performance first week in Lake District in daily rain. Dry, packs small and like the underarm ventilator zips. Pocket zips seem good and tight. The plastic wrist adjustors look a bit clumsy - always had Velcro on cloth tabs before - but should get used to it. Need to use it rather more to give a better assessment and star rating.

Used over a very wet festival weekend and the colour cheered me up no end plus it kept me dry when used over my waterproof trousers. It also dried overnight in my tent ready for the next days use. Perfect!

Jacket is very lightweight, only worn once in heavy rain and it kept me dry. It is windproof and keeps you cool so can wear it if it's not raining.
