Snow Forecast to Replace Spring Sunshine

06.03.2013 | News

Whilst Britons have been rejoicing the arrival of Spring forecasters are predicting a cold snap is on the way with the possibility of more snow next week.

Yesterday was the warmest day of the year so far with parts of England and Wales enjoying temperatures of up to 17 oC, a toasty seven degrees higher than average for this time of year.

The mild weather is expected to last the remainder of the week but will be replaced by cold weather in Scotland on Sunday spreading to all parts of the UK from Monday.

Brendan Jones, a forecaster for MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said: “There could even be the chance of snow on Monday and Wednesday – all areas should be on alert for at least a little bit of snow.”
