With that in mind, we recently partnered with Outdoor Adventure Girls on their ski retreat in Morzine-Avoriaz, France.<\/p>\n

We caught up with our brand ambassador, Rhiane Fatinikun, who was one of the guests on the trip.<\/p>\n

Q: What did a day look like on your trip?<\/h2>\n

Rhiane:<\/strong> A day started with coffee and breakfast in the chalet, where we had a private chef, which was lovely. Then straight to the slopes for practice, fun and adventure. Evenings were spent relaxing in the chalet, with the leisure of having a sauna and hot tub. I also booked myself in for a couple of massages, which were heavenly. Plus, we watched a lot of Bridgerton.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Q: What is your favourite memory from your trip with OAG X Mountain Warehouse?<\/h2>\n

My favourite memory from the trip has to be creating letters in the snow for some OAG content \u2013 silly and fun! Another highlight was my first solo lift disembarkment – such a proud moment for me.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Q: Why are all-female groups important to you?<\/h2>\n

Having a supportive group of women behind you definitely gives you more confidence, especially when it came to tackling my fear of ski lifts. It\u2019s also nice to have people to share your wins with after a long day on the slopes. I really enjoy the encouragement, camaraderie and vulnerability you get from women-only spaces.<\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Q: What are the essential items to pack?<\/h2>\n

Everything from thermals<\/a>, good socks, gloves<\/a>, a ski jacket<\/a> and salopettes<\/a>. However, my main recommendation would be to layer up, then you\u2019ll be set for a full day on the slopes! Hand warmers are also a great thing to pack.<\/em><\/p>\n

Q: How did your gear help you on the slopes?<\/h2>\n

My Mountain Warehouse<\/a> gear kept me warm and toasty throughout the whole trip, which is a must when you\u2019re out in the snow all day.<\/em><\/p>\n

My favourite ski item this year was the Moon II Women\u2019s Ski Jacket<\/a> paired with the Moon II Women\u2019s Ski Pants<\/a>. I\u2019m a big fan of burgundy\/purple, so it was great to see several pieces in these colourways available in Mountain Warehouse\u2019s latest ski collection. I also loved that the Moon II jacket has a built-in snowskirt, helping to keep the snow out even when I took a tumble.<\/em><\/p>\n

Q: What do you love about snowboarding?<\/h2>\n

I\u2019ve tried skiing before, but I regularly felt like I was going to injure myself. With snowboarding, every time I hit the slopes, I notice progress and this motivates me. I hadn\u2019t been on a board for a while before this trip, but I felt myself getting back into the swing of it just after a day or two. It was definitely a reminder to keep up the practise \u2013 which is why I\u2019m scouting out my next trip.<\/em><\/p>\n

Q: What would some advice be for someone going skiing or snowboarding for the first time?<\/h2>\n

Layer up! Nothing ruins a day faster than being cold and miserable. Don\u2019t worry about falling, it\u2019s all part of learning and honestly, kind of essential. Be kind to yourself, and enjoy the ride.<\/em><\/p>\n
