Q. What makes a good thermal base layer?

A. A good thermal base layer will keep you warm and dry. Merino wool, often used in thermal base layers, is extremely warm but breathable. Merino wool thermals are ideal for winter sports as the fabric actively wicks moisture away from the skin keeping you dry and comfortable should you sweat. Merino wool is also naturally antibacterial to help keep your thermal fresh and odour free.
