Fantastic medium sized backpack. Very well built seems tough enough, only had it for a few days so time will tell if it can stand up to the treatment of day to day use. I really like the separate map pocket at the back which is also handy for storing some papers & some magazines for work or if you are traveling on a plane or train then you don't need to open the main compartment when you just want a quick read. Main compartment large enough to store my waterproofs, lunch box, spare cycling top & various other bits. The only thing that I have to watch when cycling to work is that I'm not tempted to put too much in it because it can expand to take more stuff. Only gripe is is that I wish it had a waterproof cover in the bottom like some of the packs in this price range, but their not that expensive to buy & just keep in the small pocket at the front.

Has an amazing array of pockets offering great storage, very much admired by my colleagues at work. My first 'back pack' bought to make walking into work a little 'hands free' - should have considered length of back pack as I may have needed a slightly smaller one - so I will be returning to Mountain Warehouse to extend my 'back pack' collection!

THE BACKPACK WAS BOUGHT FOR MY 11YEARS OLD SON TO USE EVERYDAY AS HIS SCHOOL BAG. IT HAS LOTS OF COMPARTMENTS AND IS IDEAL FOR HIS NEEDS. IT HAS SEPARATE STORAGE AREAS SO THAT HE CAN KEEP BOOKS IN ONE SIDE AND SPORTS CLOTHES IN ANOTHER. THE VIVID COLOUR WAS THE DECIDING FACTOR FOR HIM AND THE PRICE AND VALUE FOR MONEY WAS EXCEPTIONAL.

I bought this to replace a backpack which I seem to have had forever. I have no fears that this one will stand the same test of time despite daily use whilst cycling my 10mile commute. The padding makes it very comfortable and seems to spread the weight easily. I am very happy with my purchase :)

It has lots of compartments which I liked, especially the ties on the front for my walking sticks, it's comfortable to wear although a waist strap would have been useful, I use it everyday and find it completely satisfactory for my needs, would recommend it, especially for the price.

Purchased this bag for my son, not only does it look great, lots of useful compartments to keep things seperate and even a little ring to attach your keys so no fumbling around. It's comfortable to wear too with padding in the right places and adjustable straps.

This backpack is light and has deep mesh side pockets for holding flask and water bottle. It also has 3 useful zipped pockets and a side strap which makes it expandable. However there is no waist belt and I hope it will be comfortable in use.

It seems just the right size for the purpose. A good range of pockets etc but not too many. Also like the bits on the outside for attaching things. Nice and light. Overall good for the price, though don't expect it to last forever.

I was after a new backpack and found the Merlin 35L one just what I was looking for: the right size, additional internal compartment(s), external bottle pockets, map pocket, straps for walking poles. And a good reduction on the price!

I brought this bag for work as i have to carry a lot of files between offices and it is really good, lots of space and it fits well on my shoulders - much easier for me. I should have got one ages ago!

For the price this really is great value for money. Purchased as a present for a tech head who will love the back compartment for his kindle and smaller pockets for ipods etc.

Took bag on holiday on skiing trip. Excellent for travelling as lots of zipped areas and hard bit for travel documents with easy to use side zip. Excellent value for money.

Very versatile for my daughter who has used it for her gym kit at school, on a day walking in the Ochil Hills and for a sleepover. Is more spacious than it looks.

Like the rucksack because the depth is deeper this makes it easier for finding items in the bottom.
