A. Adjusting the straps to fit your body is the place to start. For example loose shoulder straps drags the weight of the bag down so all the weight is put on your shoulders. If the straps are too tight they will be uncomfortable and restrictive. Some day packs will have waist or chest straps and load adjuster straps – all of these work to make your day pack as comfortable as possible to carry a heavy load on your back.
