Slumit

Born in Britain. The Slumit brand and associated products are lovingly designed and distributed by our small and highly motivated team of camping aficionados here in Great Britain – we call ourselves “The Slumiteers”!

One evening in Snowdonia National Park back in 2007, following a 5 hour drive to a rain soaked pitch, tired of threading poles through sleeves while our gear soaked through, we huddled around a toasty camp fire warming our bones, with hot toddies and toasted marshmallows, we came about the idea! To develop an all-in-one quick pitch tent, of high quality, yet affordable. Equipment that would not only satisfy our needs but serve the needs of other outdoor lovers and enthusiasts; all without the hassle and aggravation that comes with camping and using a standard pole and sleeve tent.

Following that camp fire evening, Slumit was born, and in late 2008 our 1st generation of two layer FlashFrame™ tents launched in the UK.

Now over 15 years on, and with ongoing demand, we are proud to serve up our 14th (and counting) generation of FlashFrame™ camping tents, with our equipment being used throughout the UK, Europe, Africa, as far West as the USA and South America, as far East as Indonesia, and as far South as Australia and New Zealand.

With each year we aim to improve and evolve our products and ranges, to better serve the needs of our customers.

Thank you for reading, and we hope you benefit from our range of products and enjoy browsing our range on the Mountain Warehouse website.

Should you have any queries on any of our ranges please feel free to get in touch – we are always happy to help.

UK Return & Refund Policy

  • Before using your new tent equipment and accessories, prior to your intended trip, check the equipment to familiarise yourself with the functionality and operation, and to ensure all is present and in satisfactory condition. This should be carried out at the earliest opportunity and in advance of a planned trip, on soft, clear, dry ground (in dry, still conditions), free from stones or other sharp or abrasive objects. Test pitching on an unsuitable surface (ie. concrete, tarmac, paving slabs, or other hard abrasive surface) could result in unnecessary damage or abrasion to the equipment and fabrics, not covered under warranty. Before opening the contents, ensure the area is entirely free from animal / pet hair. In the unlikely event you notice anything untoward, refrain from using the equipment should a return be required, and please contact us by getting in touch through Mountain Warehouse Customer Care. Where equipment has been used (ie slept on, or slept in) for health and hygiene reasons, activates the warranty policy. Please see warranty policy for details.

Slumit® range of tents and accessories are designed and produced solely for the domestic, recreational market and should be used only in fitting conditions outlined in our user guides supplied with the products. The Slumit® range of products have not been designed for expedition or specialist uses.

Understanding your FlashFrame™ tent: The tent equipment has been specifically designed to encourage ongoing user-friendly servicing and maintenance, and to avoid unnecessary landfill. Our range of FlashFrame™ tents are made up of 3 main components (FlashFrame™ System, Outer Rainfly and Inner Tent with Integrated Groundsheet). The 3 main components can be independently disconnected, removed and replaced in the event of accidental damage, storm or wind damage, or in the unlikely event of a reported defect.

Before using your tent equipment and prior for your intended trip, check the equipment to familiarise yourself with the functionality and operation, to ensure all is present and in satisfactory condition. Returns must be unused (except for test pitching) in fully resalable, clean, unsoiled condition, free from animal hair or dander.

In the unlikely event you notice anything untoward, refrain from using the equipment should a return be required, and please contact us by getting in touch through Mountain Warehouse Customer Care so that we are made aware and offer the necessary assistance. Supporting images may be required to help illustrate the reported concern and to offer the most efficient resolution. Returns must be unused (except for test pitching) and in original packaging as delivered. If the equipment has been used (ie. slept on, or slept in) for health and hygiene reasons, will activate the manufacturer’s warranty, outlined below.
