Glacier Extreme Waterproof Men's Jacket

My Berghaus goretex is getting old & worn and I need a decent waterproof for getting to/fro work, watching my son play rugby and for low level local walks, etc. At first I thought this would swamp me but buying a mens jkt, rather than a ladies, means that there is enough room for me to wear a fleece underneath (although the the jkt itself seems quite cosy) and also that the jkt actually comes down over my bottom which is so much better than the usual women's cut which tends to end at the hips so that the rain runns off and soaks your lower half!

My husband, being 6'5", has trouble finding practical coats. This coat, designed as a waterproof, has been cut longer which gives him good coverage. Also, the hood has been designed so that he can still stand up straight when he has his hood on! HOWEVER if you are shorter, DO NOT be put off from buying this coat. It will provide you will excellent coverage and the hood has a natty way of being adjusted so you wont be swamped! Well done Mountain Warehouse - a great design!

I was looking for a jacket to keep me warm and dry whilst out walking and given the recent weather in the Lakes this certainly helped!!! The jacket is very warm even if you are just wearing a teeshirt. Given the weather it is certainly waterproof. There are a number of discreet pockets which allows safe storage of mobile phones and wallets for example. A very welcome addition for anyone looking to increase their walking cupboard!

its a fab jacket as far as i can tell so far, though much too big for me (i'm a women's size 10 - the women's jackets don't have such good pockets) i haven't tested it in torrential rain yet...which is what i bought it for mainly. it has a good range of pockets, the extra length is good, and sleeve length (also sometimes lacking in the women's styles)

I purchased the jacket for a trip to Alaska in a couple of weeks time, and this jacket full-filled all my requirements and more to protect me from any possible bad weather which we may encounter during the trip. In addition to being functional it also looks stylish which for me is great. The added bonus was that Higher Management (wife) liked it also.

Only worn it 3 times so far, so rating may well go up to 5 stars. Was exceptionally good value as it was half price! - so a fabulous deal for good quality, and guaranteed waterproof for 3 years (as long as you follow the instructions in the small print re treating the garment every 4-6 months with Proofer, and also the washing instructions).

Good length, more than a "bum hugger", means that I can expect to stay dry at the junction of waterproof trousers and coat. The waist adjuster cord is in a poor position as it gets in the way when pulling up or down the closure zip. Support in hood peak very good for keeping the hood from falling over the eyes.

I wanted something suitable for walking the dog in all weathers. This coat seems ideal, particularly given its longer length, and high waterproof and breathability ratings. The only minor niggle so far is the way the waist toggles catch in the zip when doing it up. Very pleased so far. Good value too.

i have been looking for a long length ,waterproof and windproof jacket for months. this one is perfect for winter walks along the seafronts where i live.nice price as well. most jackets at this sort of price are not as good in bad weather or long enough to keep most of you dry.

I spend most of the shooting season outdoors in all weathers. I have yet to find a totally waterproof jacket that will keep me dry in all extreme wet conditions. This jacket gives me a certain amount of confidence which time will tell and comes with a 3 year guarantee.

The store assistant was very helpful in helping me to make the right chose of waterproof jacket I needed as a replacement for a previous Winster waterproof jacket I have had for 12 years. Hope this gives me the same level of service. Will shop there again/

Inoffensive design for everyday use. Long enough fitting which can be an issue when trying to find them and equally capable of wearing over a suit or casual clothes for walking & watching sports & wildlife. Two price reductions made it a no-brainer.

The jacket is absolutely spot on. As i go camping this will be a brilliant jacket to have in our british summer! The only downside is that i am a large man and i have difficulty getting jackets. maybe a few more 3xl garments would be great.

It was a very good jacket for the price v performance, and because it was in the sale i decided to go for it, i got very good customer service, i was told exactly how the garment would perform and the technologies behind it.

Excellent I love the high collar lied with fleece, really warm. Good long line and feels very windproof, good double flap over the zip. Would prefer an elasticated wrist with the velcro band as an extra windproof addition.

Length just what was needed (not found at other stores). Adjustments (hood, cuffs etc) made fitting easy Internal pockets just what we needed (position, zips) If we were designing a jacket it would be just like this!

drawstring fastener would be better if it fastened on the inside of the zip so that when the jacket is tied up the drawstring fastener is concealed, the way it is just now the fastener spoils an other wise great jacket

I was looking for a good quality waterproof jacket. This jacket has been perfect in the heavy rain and the peak style hood prevents you getting too hot. Very pleased with the 3 year waterproof guarantee too.

This was a bargain purchase, the product is value for money, keeps you ver dry in the we weather. It has plenty of storage pockets and is lightweight if you needed to carry in a back pack.
