The SPOT Trace is a compact satellite tracker which can be used in two ways - firstly to track authorised asset movement and secondly to detect unauthorised movement and alert you accordingly. As SPOT Trace works via satellite no outages in mobile phone reception will stop you tracking and monitoring the movements of your asset. This Asset Tracker is ideal for monitoring valuable assets such as cars, motorbikes, caravans, boats and jet skis. The SPOT Waterproof DC Power Cable is available to purchase and provides a power connection between your SPOT Trace and a DC power source to ensure the device always stays online. SPOT Trace Key Features: Track Progress: Authorised Movement: The SPOT Trace transmits your asset's GPS coordinates every 2 ½, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes to an online mapping portal, which can be viewed from your smartphone or online. Unauthorised Movement: Setup the tracker to send text and/or email messages to you when movement is detected. In the event of theft, you will be alerted of the asset's movement immediately and be able to follow any further movements on the online mapping portal. Dock Mode: Configure your SPOT Trace tracker to track an asset that is primarily stored on the water. Power Off and Low Battery Messages: Receive a notification if your SPOT Trace is powered off and when the device's batteries are low. Status Message: Receive a once per day alert to let you know your asset is secure. Dust & Water Resistant: SPOT Trace has an IPX7 rating, meaning it is designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions. It can even be submersed in water up to 1m for 30 minutes. How does SPOT Trace work? SPOT Trace requires an active subscription to work (see below for more details). Once activated and powered on, the tracker will acquire its exact coordinates from the GPS network. SPOT Trace sends the GPS location to communication satellites. The satellites relay the message to a ground network, which uses the internet to route the message to your phone or computer. SPOT Trace allows you to monitor your asset and track its movement in near real-time via Google Maps. Because the Trace uses satellite technology, it can communicate from some of the most remote locations around the world. Never let your most asset disappear without a trace. SPOT Trace Subscriptions: The tracker requires an active subscription to transmit location messages. Subscriptions are available directly from SPOT in the form of either a one-off annual payment or a pay monthly flex plan, both of which include unlimited messaging. It will also automatically send an SMS text/email with your asset's GPS coordinates once movement has been detected. Also, customize your device's dock mode, movement alert, status, low battery and power off settings.
