Gender Pay Gap
Our Commitment to Our Colleagues at Mountain Warehouse
At Mountain Warehouse, we believe that adventure is for everyone — no matter what everyday mountains you face. The same goes for the opportunity to thrive in your career.
With offices in London and Coventry, a remote Customer Care team, and stores across the UK, Europe, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, we are proudly committed to empowering our 4,700 global colleagues to bring their full selves to work, progress in their careers, and unlock their incredible talents.
But our reach doesn't stop there. With a family of over five million customers across 30 countries, we hold ourselves accountable to them just as much as we do to one another.
So, What's Changed?
Over the past year, we have made meaningful progress. Our median hourly pay gap has narrowed by 1.9%, with male and female median pay now equal. Bonus pay gaps have also reduced significantly: the median bonus gap has fallen to 9.3%, and bonus participation rates are nearly equal, with 75.7% of women and 75.6% of men receiving a bonus in 2025.
In 2025, we promoted 36 colleagues at our Head Office, 66% of whom were women. We also welcomed a new female colleague to our Board of Directors, further strengthening female representation at the highest level.
To mark International Women's Day, we hosted our Women in the Outdoors event, bringing together an incredible group of women who are shaping the future of the outdoors. From conservationists and community leaders to storytellers and explorers, the event was a powerful reminder of how important community is in helping more women feel safe, supported, and properly equipped to spend time outside.
We also continue our partnership with CoppaFeel!, a charity dedicated to breast cancer education and early detection. As a condition that affects one in seven women in the UK, we believe that supporting our female colleagues' health and wellbeing is just as important as supporting their careers. This year, we provided funding for two treks, raising both funds and awareness.
We are also proud to partner with the Retail Trust, which provides free and confidential support to all of our colleagues, including mental health resources, financial guidance, and health and wellness advice alongside access to a Virtual GP service, enabling our colleagues to have support when they need it.
Together, these efforts sit alongside the practical steps we have taken to ensure everyone feels welcome and properly supported. This includes making policies more accessible through our new People Systems; delivering business-wide training on the prevention of sexual harassment; implementing a whistleblowing service; and making sanitary products freely available to all colleagues across Head Office and our stores.
Today, I am proud to lead a team that is not only talented but genuinely diverse. Our commitment to fairness, equality, and equal pay for equal work guides everything we do, and we believe that a diverse team is the foundation of creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
Our journey towards a more inclusive and equitable future is ongoing, and we remain committed to creating opportunities for everyone to succeed.
I confirm that our gender pay gap data is accurate and correct as at 4th April 2025.
