Founded in 2002, The Wallaroo hat company is dedicated to quality craftsmanship in functional and fashionable hat designs - Sun protective, adjustable, packable and comfortable.
Inspired by trips to her husband’s family in Australia, Stephanie Carter, founder and CEO, wanted to share her understanding of sun exposure and the threat of skin cancer far and wide. This transpired into developing a range of UPF protection hats to suit. From inception to now we are dedicated to fulfilling this mission.

OUR MISSION
Our mission from inception has been to help eliminate the threat of skin cancer through information and prevention. As a leader in the sun-protective hat industry, Wallaroo takes this health threat very seriously. Our hats are tested and rated according to the UV radiation blocking capabilities (UPF - Ultraviolet Protection Factor) of the materials used in the construction of each hat. We advise our customers to read the product description to determine if the UPF rating of the hat suits your individual sun protection needs. Our dedication to this effort is the driving force behind both the design of our hats and our involvement and contribution to philanthropic efforts within the community.

In 2014, Wallaroo Hat Company joined the ranks as a Certified B Corporation®. We invested significant time and energy into improving our organisation to meet nonprofit B Lab’s rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

- Orders must be returned within 60 days of receipt
- The products must be in their original packaging, with all tags and in original condition
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except for products that are faulty or damaged upon delivery

- We recommend the use of a tracked return service. Always ensure you keep proof of posting
Returns Method:
- Pack the items to be sent back securely in suitable protective packaging
- Fill out the return slip, and make sure to include it inside the package you're returning. You can download the return slip here.
- Post your item to the address below and keep the tracking receipt as proof of return. For your convenience, follow here to the Royal Mail Returns Portal/Parcel2Go to arrange return postage for your items. These are not Mountain Warehouse operated services.
- Please retain proof of postage until it has been confirmed that your refund has been processed.
- Please note that items sold by The Wallaroo Hat Company cannot be returned to Mountain Warehouse stores

All Wallaroo & Carkella - By the Wallaroo Hat Company, hat products come with a 12-month guarantee. This guarantee only applies if the product has been used for its intended purpose and excludes damage caused by accident, neglect or wear and tear.
In the unlikely event of a fault developing with an item you have purchased through Mountain Warehouse, please contact us by getting in touch through Mountain Warehouse Customer Care. We will review the fault/issue and if deemed our responsibility will offer a full refund, repair or replacement.
