Top 5 Charity Challenges

25.06.2014 | Charity Challenge Competition

charity-banner-blogAfter such a huge success last year and having launched our 2014 Charity Challenge this month (which you can enter here), we thought we’d look back at the most popular Charity Challenges from 2013 to give a bit of inspiration for what to do this year!

Mount Kilimanjaro

An impressive 55 challengers took on Mount Kilimanjaro last year! It may have been incredibly hard work, but it was definitely just as rewarding. If you’re looking for something REALLY challenging to take on this year, Mount Kilimanjaro could be for you!

Summit ben nevis 3 Peaks Challenge

10% of last year’s entrants completed a 3 Peaks Challenge in the UK. If you like to push yourself to the limit, love walking and hiking as well as stunning scenery then the 3 Peaks is the challenge for you….you just need to find someone willing to drive you!

Sponsored Cycle

will-dat2Cyclists are everywhere these days! The rise in popularity of the sport is well documented from commuters to weekend country roads riders so it’s little wonder that over 15% of last year’s entrants completed a sponsored cycle. It’s great to have a ride to train forNot only is this one that plenty of your friends can tag along with you on, but it’s loads of fun too! Cycling down country roads with the beautiful sun shining is great fun and very relaxing (if it doesn’t rain!), but still a great challenge!

Sponsored Walk

This is one that pretty much anyone can attempt and perfect if you want to get your friends and family together to raise some money for a great cause. Sponsored walks were completed by 10% of our entrants last year from 100k walks to moonwalks. Training for a long walk is a great way to build your fitness and kick start a healthy lifestyle!

tough-mudderObstacle Race

Another increasingly popular challenge in the last couple of years is the obstacle race. Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, Deerstalker, Total Warrior…all sound a bit terrifying! But it seems the British public love jumping in ice water, being electrocuted and getting extremely muddy. So if you are feeling brave this year, why not try one?

So get climbing, running, walking, cycling and even swimming and do a Charity Challenge this year!
