Charity Challenge: Public Vote Winner Tracey Ames in Leamington Spa

20.11.2014 | Charity Challenge Competition

Last week, we were up in Leamington Spa to handover the £5,000 cheque to Tracey Ames, the public vote winner of the Mountain Warehouse Charity Challenge competition.

We met Tracey at our Leamington Spa store and our Founder, Mark Neale came along to present the cheque. Tracey also brought two of her lovely greyhounds, which she rescued from Greyhound Gap, with her.

Tracey took on the Big Dipper – a 1 mile long, 500ft high zip line at Zipworld in Snowdonia – to raise money for Greyhound Gap.

Tracey was thrilled to win the £5,000 for Greyhound Gap and said, “I am absolutely delighted, honoured and overwhelmed that we have won the £5,000 for Greyhound Gap. Mountain Warehouse’s charity challenge involved a lot of people working together and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody that took part in the initial zip line challenge and to everybody that voted. The money will take the pressure off for Greyhound Gap in the run up to Christmas as funds are always tighter at this time of year. These funds will specifically be used towards their kennel fees which are nearly £6,000 per month. It will allow Greyhound Gap to continue their excellent work in rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing dogs so that they can have a life free from pain and neglect.“

Congratulations, Tracey!
