The Ocean Signal EDF1 is an LED electronic distress flare, a safe, reusable alternative to pyrotechnic flares. It provides 360-degree visibility and can be seen up to 7 miles away, maintaining consistent brightness for around 6 hours across four standard modes plus a dedicated SOS function. Waterproof to 10 metres and powered by a user-replaceable lithium battery with a battery-test function, it measures 187 mm x 42 mm and weighs just 155 g, making it easy to stow in a grab bag.
