The Brunner Minuwatt Kettle solves one of camping's most frustrating problems: tripping the electrics every time you fancy a brew. Running at just 750W, it draws around 3.3 amps on a 230V supply, meaning it'll happily work alongside your fridge, lighting and phone chargers without overloading typical 6-10 amp campsite hook-ups. Standard household kettles use 2,000-3,000 watts and will trip most site supplies the moment you flick them on. This low wattage kettle takes a bit longer to boil (roughly 6-8 minutes for a full load), but that's a small price for reliable hot drinks without resetting breakers in the rain. With a 1.7-litre capacity, there's enough for five or six mugs in one go, making it practical for families or couples who drink a fair bit of tea throughout the day. It's got the basics sorted: automatic shut-off when it boils, boil-dry protection if you accidentally switch it on empty, and a water level indicator so you don't overfill. The stainless steel heating element sits inside a plastic housing that keeps the weight down to 910g, and at 22.7 x 15.7 x 23cm, it fits easily into caravan cupboards or motorhome storage. The LED-illuminated switch makes it clear when it's on, which matters more than you'd think when you're half-awake making morning coffee. It works on standard UK 230V 50Hz supply, so it'll plug straight into any campsite electrical hook-up without adapters or fuss.
