The Vango Tailgate AirHub II Low is a driveaway awning designed specifically for campervans, panel vans and SUVs with lower rooflines under 2 metres. It attaches to your vehicle's rear doors through a connecting tunnel that uses pegged straps for tension rather than requiring awning rails, though traditional mounting options are included if your vehicle has them. The AirBeam frame inflates through a single valve with the included pump, taking about 10 minutes once you've got the hang of it. Pre-angled beams create decent headroom even for taller folks, whilst the 150D Sentinel Active fabric with 4,000mm hydrostatic head keeps you dry through heavy downpours. Diamond Clear windows along the front come with mesh screens and toggled privacy curtains, giving you proper control over light and airflow. The linked-in groundsheet detaches for cleaning, which you'll appreciate after muddy walks or beach trips. What makes this awning genuinely useful for touring is the roll-away tunnel design. When you want to drive off for the day, you simply roll back the connecting tunnel and toggle it to the awning's front, leaving the main structure pitched at your campsite.
