The BOXIO Water Filter System is a compact gravity filter that weighs 0.36 kg and takes up almost no space in a pack or van. It's designed for anyone who needs safe drinking water away from mains supply, whether you're wild camping, living in a motorhome, or keeping an emergency water kit at home. The 3-stage filtration removes 99.99% of bacteria (tested with E. coli), protozoa, and microplastics from freshwater sources like streams, rivers, and lakes. A PP cotton pre-filter catches sediment and protects the hollow fibre UF membrane, while an activated carbon pad removes odours and bad taste. You get three ways to use it: drink directly through the straw from a source, attach it to the included flexible bladder or a standard PET bottle for filtering on the move, or hang the 5-litre TPU water bag above the filter and let gravity do the work while you fill a canister for camp use. The filter's backwashable, which keeps flow rate consistent over its 8,000-litre lifespan. At 15.5 cm tall and 3.3 cm wide, this genuinely fits in a side pocket. It needs no pumps, batteries, or chemical tablets, so it's ideal for lightweight trekking, van life, and situations where you want reliable water access without carrying heavy kit.
