The Vango Denali Pro 60:70 is built for multi-day treks where comfort and durability actually matter. The A1 back system uses two body-contoured alloy bars and a single-strap mechanism that you can adjust with one hand whilst wearing the pack, letting you fine-tune the fit for back lengths between 45cm and 55cm. This matters when you're carrying 15kg across the Scottish Highlands for a week - proper load distribution stops your shoulders aching by day three. The construction uses Excel Efficient 600D recycled polyester on high-wear zones and lighter 250D ripstop elsewhere, both with PU backing. You get dual access through the top lid and a bottom zip panel, which saves unpacking everything when you need your sleeping bag. The external wet-gear pocket takes sodden tent inners without contaminating dry kit inside, and the pro-weave side pockets collapse flat or stretch for water bottles. The 60-litre main compartment expands to around 70 litres total when you use the lid pocket, front pocket and external storage fully. Hip belt pockets keep snacks and your phone within reach, whilst the hydration sleeve fits most 2-3 litre bladders with a port for the drinking tube. Ice axe loops with bungee retainers secure winter tools properly, and dual compression straps on each side stabilise lighter loads or attach extra gear externally. The breathable AirMesh padding on shoulder straps and hip belt helps during warm weather, and there's an integrated rain cover stored in the base compartment. At 2.3kg, it's a proper expedition pack for DofE awards, long weekends in the Lakes, or fortnight trips where you're carrying everything.
